Pagadian City-The Zamboanga del Sur School of Arts and Trade (ZSSAT) & Zamboanga del Sur National High School (ZSNHS) Main Campus, Pagadian City launched the Career Guidance Week with a theme "Follow the guide, Tag a career, Like the future", last July 22-26, 2013 with a total of 1,149 participants in attendance.

The launching program was simultaneously conducted in different schools, to mention; ZSSAT held at Kawit Barangay Covered Court and ZSNHS at Sta. Maria District, Pagadian City. This week - long activity was designed to assist students in goal setting and planning in preparation to their chosen field they would cruise.

In ZSSAT, the affair was attended by the Barangay Chairman Sangcadra Dimasar, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Elsa Cruz, Supervisor on Values and Guidance Dr. Cynthia Rose Cartojano, TESDA specialist Engr. Adrian Ampong and Mr. Camilo A. Encila, Jr., Supervising LEO of the Department of Labor and Employment, Zamboanga del Sur Field Office (ZDSFO). Students showcased their future career choice attire during the Career Fiesta Parade with the Kalingawan Dancers as the main entertainer of the activity.

Speakers from the aforementioned offices discussed their respective topic which suits in to their theme "Cruise into Your Future". Mr. Encila Jr. discussed the Labor Market and Careers in the Industries (101 Hard to fill Jobs).

In Zamboanga del Sur National High School, Main Campus, the launching program was attended by Ms. Lourdes E. Floriza of DOLE -ZDSFO and Ms. Mary Jane B. Omandam, Guidance Counselor/PESO Manager of Saint Columban College. Ms. Floriza discussed about Goal Setting and Action Planning followed by Ms. Omandam who tackled topics regarding Self-Assessment and Career Planning.

Maribel Ramos, DOLE- ZDSPO
