The 10K Livelihood Program is one of the programs and services offered by OWWA and NRCO for the OFWs who wish to stay in the Philippines for good. It aims to provide livelihood assistance to displaced and distressed OFWs who are unsuccessful in their flight abroad due to the following reasons: maltreatment by the employer, poor working place/ condition, unpaid salary, contract violation, political unrest, global economic crisis, health problems and unjust termination from the employer.
With this program, OWWA provides an opportunity for the OFWs to start anew after their employment abroad.
Releasing of checks of the approved applicants will be done by the NRCO at the DOLE office.
OWWA-RWO IX encourages OFWs with inquiries regarding the program to visit their office at 3rd Floor Goodwill Center, Mayor Jaldon St., Canelar, Zamboanga City or call them at 991-2785.
